ClubCahootie Virtual Play Space offers tweens a safe way to experience the world of social networking
IRVINE, Calif. – Cahootie LLC, a rapidly growing tween brand that produces an award-winning product line of socially engaging games, announces the launch of ClubCahootie™ (www.clubcahootie.com), a COPPA-compliant online community for tweens in which minors can interact safely with parent-approved friends. Through a vast number of check mechanisms, this cyber play space designed and developed by Egencie, Inc. (www.egencie.com) avoids the many risks that are posed to families by the Internet today, allowing tweens a virtual amusement park to share experiences and build friendships through self-expression.
Through its ever-growing product line, Cahootie has reinvented the iconic handmade “cootie catcher” or “fortune-teller” to engage tweens in self-esteem building conversation and creative thought while enjoying the timeless fun delivered by this classic game. These fundamental ideas have been incorporated into the online social space for children with the release of ClubCahootie. The virtual playground for kids provides members endless options to control their own world, creating a protected, fun environment that will excite both kids and parents.
“With the growing popularity of online social networking among youth, we recognized the need for a safe space for kids to interact as well as a sanctuary where children can retreat to socialize with friends,” said Cahootie CEO Blythe Jack. “We are thrilled that we can provide a way for kids and teens to use the internet in a safe way that will promote self-confidence, healthy interaction and bonding with peers through a spectrum of social activities.”
“We’re very excited to be working with Cahootie and thrilled that they saw the benefits of extending their Brand online with safe social, entertainment and gaming functions” said Egencie Managing Director Tim Baio. “As their product sales continue to grow, they’ll now have a low-cost touch point to the consumer which is at the very least self sustaining investment but with the high likelihood of becoming a profit center through the digital economy already in place.”
The exciting world of ClubCahootie, powered by Egencie’s Social Play Space system (SPS 10) offers a wide variety of activities such as blogging, chat, in-world mail, photo and video uploads/sharing, as well as Cahootie’s proprietary online game, “Virtual Cahootie™.” In addition, the exclusive world of ClubCahootie provides its members access to the latest in technology such as Hulu videos, radio streaming of favorite music/bands, photo uploading, and online games.

Egencie Launches PixeoStar Facebook Application
Madison, Wisc. - Egencie has teamed up with PixeoStar to launch “Photo and Video Contest Maker.” PixeoStar, a start up gaming company based in Madison, Wisconsin worked with Egencie to create Facebook’s only image-based contest application. The application allows Facebook users to start a photo or video contest among their friends and collect points for creating, entering and voting on the contests. The application spreads virally by sharing results and notifications with the creator’s network.
“We’re really excited to launch this and we’re looking forward to the feedback from fans.” said Lindsy Schafer, President of Pixeostar. “Egencie made the process very straightforward and simple. I don’t think we would have ever launched this fast without their guidance and involvement.”
The new application is designed to promote sharing and humor among friends. “I thought the idea was great and we think the final product is very distinct from any other Facebook app. PixeoStar has some clever plans to expand the application and allow points and prizes won from the contests to be used in social games” said Tim Baio, Managing Director of Egencie, Inc. “Some of their contests should be entertaining. Imagine voting in a contest called ‘Worst 80’s hair-do.’”
PixeoStar hopes to create other “feeders” for their main social game, due out this fall. “Our idea is to create various types of applications which get people into collecting prizes and points, then provide a very fun social game from which to use them” says Schafer.
Look for The Photo and Video Contest Maker on your Facebook home page soon.
